This is the Ultimate Engines M-3T 3-port .21 off road competition nitro engine. The Ultimate M-3T is made by the prestigious O.S. Company of Japan and is based on their B2102 square stroke engine.  This engine is characterized by its high power delivery and tuneability. Power delivery is super smooth and linear from low to high R.P.M.

Cooling Head:  The cooling head of the M-3T is specially designed by Modelix.  It’s not as low as the stock B2102 head, but it’s lighter so it will keep the center of gravity as low as the B2102, but with the added benefit of improved cooling performance.

Carburetor:  The M-3T engine comes with a newly designed carburetor.  The high speed needle holder is new and is designed to improve cooling of the fuel as it enters the carburetor, which will in turn lower the carburetors temperature.  The result?  Improved idle stability, better fuel mileage, and enhanced overall engine performance.  In addition, the uniball joint of the carb slide is modified to use two stoppers instead of one. With this new modified design, you can easily adjust the angle of the uniball joint without disassembling the engine.

This carburetor offers highly accurate tuning; a very interesting advantage for experienced drivers and engine tuners.

Backplate:  The backplate is CNC machined and made of 7075-T6 Swiss aluminum. The reason for using this material is to make it harder than the original stock backplate and reduce the conrod-backplate friction.  This will increase the life of the conrod and improve engine efficiency and performance.

The new design of the backplate makes it easy to remove without damaging the conrod even when it is on its lower position (PMI). The lateral grooves allow for easy removal of the backplate without having to use any special tools that might damage it.

Crankshaft:  The M-3T crankshaft is designed by O.S. engineers to ensure an optimum flow of fuel thanks through the use of an aerodynamic design and the use silicone filling.  It is balanced with a tungsten weight in order to increase the inertia to rotation. Crankshaft durability is excellent thanks to the Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating that is used.

Bearings:  In keeping with the high quality and performance of this engine, this engine uses high precision bearings that are made in Japan.  The front bearing is steel, while the rear bearing is ceramic.

Venturi:  The engine is supplied with two venturis; a 6.0mm and a 6.5mm.

Sleeve and Piston:  The sleeve with 3 inlet ports and an exhaust port guarantees low fuel consumption and a very high and linear power delivery.  Both the sleeve and piston are made from a high strength aluminium bar to improve its durability.
